Thinking about death isn’t easy, but it’s important that your employees understand what will happen to their pension savings when they die. 

Workers Pension Trust would ask all employers to remind their staff to complete an Expression of Wish form. This will help to inform the Trustees who should receive their pension savings in the unfortunate event of their death before retirement.

It is also important to remind employees to regularly review their Expression of Wish form, particularly if personal circumstances change. For example, if they have married/registered a civil partnership or have divorced.
