New businesses starting up from October 2017 are being warned they will have instant pension duties once they take on a member of staff.
Rather than having a set staging date, their auto-enrolment duties- to assess all workers, communicate with them, and include eligible employees in a suitable scheme- will start as soon as they employ anyone. The start date will no longer be tied to the PAYE date.
