Thinking about death isn’t easy, but it’s important to understand what will happen to your pension when you die.  One of the features of your pension with Workers Pension Trust is the ability for the fund to be passed on to others in the event of your death before retirement.

You can nominate beneficiaries in the Expression of Wish section of your secure Benpal account. Alternatively, you can download an Expression of Wish Form from the Members Resources section at www.workerspensiontrust.co.uk.

Deciding who to leave your pension savings to is completely up to you. You can nominate one individual or split the pension between multiple beneficiaries.  However, it is important to make sure that your wishes are kept up to date.

The Trustee will consider your wishes as stated in your Expression of Wish but is not legally bound by them.
