Auto-Enrolment Compliance

In October 2012 the Government introduced legislation making it compulsory for all employers to enrol eligible workers into a qualifying workplace pension scheme and make contributions. This is known as ‘auto-enrolment’.  

Qualifying Scheme for Auto-Enrolment

In July 2018, Enhance Construction Pension Scheme members and their benefits transferred to Workers Pension Trust on the same terms and conditions applicable to them under Enhance. 

Workers Pension Trust is a qualifying scheme for auto-enrolment.


Every three years, you will need to re-enrol those staff who have left pension saving into your automatic enrolment pension scheme.

At re-enrolment employers are required to;

  • Check whether any employees who are not in a workplace pension scheme need to be re-enrolled
  • Re-declare compliance with The Pensions Regulator, to show you are continuing to meet the government’s workplace pension regulations
  • Repeat the process every three years
